Dr. Nishanth Sanalkumar

Dr. Nishanth Sanalkumar received his medical degree and Internal Medicine specialty training at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. He did residency in Internal Medicine from New York Medical College, New York, USA. Subsequently he trained in Endocrinology at State University of New York at Buffalo, NY and was awarded the Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is American Board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He was also awarded Fellowship of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). He is certified by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) in Ultrasound guided fine-needle aspiration of thyroid nodules. He is also experienced in treating patients with other endocrine problems like obesity, lipid disorders, PCOD, growth and developmental problem in children, pituitary diseases, adrenal problems, metabolic bone disease etc. He is certified by ISCD as a clinical densitometrist. He is a member of Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society of India (ESI), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), Research Society for the study of diabetes in India (RSSDI), Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ISBMR). He is currently working as a consultant Endocrinologist at Al Zahra Hospital, Sharjah.
